Handcrafted Danish quality. Raw ginger is peeled and blended, then stirred into the licorice. After drying, the licorice is cut and coated in dark chocolate. The licorice has its characteristic flavour because it is made from the finest licorice powder, and because it is created by the Maillard reaction, where milk protein and sugar react with each other in the pot. After boiling, the licorice is poured into moulds, where it sets overnight. It is then cut and passed through a veil (or curtain) of liquid chocolate. After drying, it is ready to eat.
